Brand
name ink companies have long been selling their printers at a low price to
hook people into buying their cartridges at inflated prices. Some brand name
printer companies are even willing to lose money on each printer. Many of
these companies, in fact, made their fortunes from cartridge sales, not from
selling printers.
It's much more likely that brand companies sell at cost or
for a slight profit than actually losing money with each printer sold.
Regardless, consumers are beginning to grow weary of paying an arm and a leg
